I am a student of photography. Not in a formal sense, but in the sense that as I take more pictures and view other pictures, I may learn from each.

Playing with Picasa

I downloaded Picasa 2 and was doing some playing around with it. It's not a bad way of organizing photos.

There is an option of making a collage of photos. I learned that "Less is More" when doing this. Using more than 3 pictures may have undesireable results if one uses the "Picture Pile" option.

Here is a picture of Brewster with is toy GSD, both relaxing on Brewster's new bed. I've also added a couple of art pieces to complete the collage. All-in-all not a bad look.

Greyhound NOT considered a Dog in Kansas

According to and news story from a Kansas TV station, Are Greyhounds Dogs? Kansas Says No.

Two years after the Parimutuel Racing Act was passed in Kansas, the law protecting pets in the state was changed to exclude greyhounds from the designation of dog.
There are those in Kansas who want to change the law to have Greyhounds designated as dogs.

The National Greyhound Association, based in Abilene, Kan., disagrees. The executive director called the change unnecessary and said greyhounds aren't bred for pets, and therefore, shouldn't fall under pet protection laws.
My Son has two Greyhounds, and at times has as many as four. He fosters them and cares for them until a suitable home can be found. As far as he is concerned, they are definately Dogs. They are what everyone who really loves dogs wants, a friend and companion.

Some 2004 pictures

It's been a while since I did anything with the Dogs. So here are a few pictures that were taken during 2004. Please enjoy and download as you want.

Brewster in a rare moment, being still so I can take a picture. Of course I would have to catch him with his eyes closed. Brewster really likes it outside, especially on days that look like this.

Buffy cut her foot on something, so we administered a little First Aid. She did really well. Brewster would have grumbled and would have needed a muzzle. Buffy just took it all in stride. She was back to chasing Jasmine in no time. (July 2004)

Cauleen catches Buffy and Jasmine so David could take a picture. Whenever these 2 are together, it's non-stop action. They chase and play hard all day long. It gets to be a REAL mess if the weather is bad (rain), so when that happens, we have to separate them. This day was great. (July 2004)

So, Buffy sits with David and Jasmine in her Christmas Star collar. She was SO good about wearing the collar. (Christmas 2004)

A bed fit for a King or Queen Posted by Hello

As I further examine this bed, I think it may be small for my GSD's. Oh well. There are some other neat things to look at on the site.
